The intelligent warehousing and logistics transformation of the pet aquarium industry has entered a comprehensive implementation period. A large number of newly built aquarium feed and supplies production plants are equipped with high-level automated three-dimensional warehouses of more than 20 meters, equipped with stacker cranes, AGV handling robots, and WMS intelligent warehousing management systems, to achieve fully automatic storage, sorting, and outbound of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products, completely solving the long-term industry pain points of traditional flat warehouses such as large land occupation, low manual sorting efficiency, chaotic inventory data, and inability to accurately distinguish batches. Under the traditional warehousing mode, feed products are mostly heavy bagged materials, with high labor intensity for manual handling and high error rates for inbound and outbound storage. Different production batches of feed are mixed and stored, and quality problems cannot be accurately recalled. However, the new generation of intelligent three-dimensional warehousing systems can provide thousands of independent storage locations, with each batch of products bound to a unique digital code. The system automatically records the time of entry, production batch, and outbound flow, perfectly matching the industry's mandatory product traceability requirements.
The entire intelligent warehousing system seamlessly integrates with the front-end fully automated production line. After puffing and packaging, the finished products are automatically transported to the three-dimensional warehouse entrance through a Z-shaped elevator, and robots automatically complete pallet stacking and shelving storage; After the downstream distributor's order is issued, the system automatically plans the picking path, and the AGV robot independently completes the retrieval and outbound transportation of goods without manual intervention. The daily average processing volume of a single warehouse is increased by more than three times, and only 2-3 operation and maintenance personnel are needed to complete the entire warehouse operation and management. At the same time, the storage system is equipped with intelligent temperature and humidity control equipment, which can adjust the environmental parameters inside the warehouse in real time to extend the shelf life of finished products and significantly reduce storage losses, targeting the moisture absorption and oil oxidation characteristics of fish and turtle food. At present, multiple industrial clusters in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta have formed standardized intelligent warehousing transformation plans. Logistics technology enterprises specialize in customizing robots and three-dimensional warehouse equipment for heavy aquatic feed, multiple SKUs, and batch management needs. The investment cost of transformation has been decreasing year by year, and small and medium-sized manufacturers can also complete the digital upgrade of warehousing in stages. The integrated layout of the industrial chain has become the mainstream strategy for leading enterprises. After the digital closed-loop of production, warehousing, and logistics is formed, the inventory turnover cycle of enterprises is shortened by 40%, the delivery speed of orders is significantly improved, and the ability to fulfill cross-border shipments at home and abroad is synchronously enhanced.
